🐾 Fueled by love • Powered by wings

Every dog deserves a second chance.

We fly at-risk dogs out of high-kill shelters and dangerous situations — and into loving homes. One rescue at a time. Founded by pilot Ryan Gomez. Powered by purpose.

Our Mission

Three steps to a second chance.

🚨

Rescue

We pull at-risk dogs from high-kill shelters across the country before it's too late. Every call is urgent. Every dog matters.

✈️

Fly

Using our Cessna Cardinal RG "Hope," we transport rescue dogs by air to safe environments and loving homes — sometimes hundreds of miles away.

🏡

Save

Every paw print on Hope's fuselage represents a life saved. Our mission is simple: add more paw prints.

A Rescue Story

Meet Mia.

Old. Blind. Toothless. Unbreakable.

They found her wandering the streets of San Diego, Texas — blind, walking in endless circles. The circling told the story before anyone said a word: a life spent in a cage. Almost certainly a puppy mill, where she was kept in the dark and bred until she had nothing left to give.

And she gave everything. Mia has no teeth — not one. It's so rare it stuns the vets. The likeliest reason will break your heart: year after year, her body pulled every ounce of calcium to feed her puppies, until her teeth simply gave out. She spent her whole life keeping other dogs alive. Then she was thrown away.

When Ryan flew her, she was old, blind, toothless, and covered in fleas. Nobody had bothered. He flew her anyway — carrying her the first leg of the journey to meet Genny of Tiny Paws Dog Rescue, the partner who would take her the rest of the way home to Shannon, her forever mom, in Montana.

"She's a little warrior. This 4½-pound dog survived insurmountable odds — and she's still not ready to give up."

Today, Mia is learning her new home one careful step at a time — Shannon can see her counting her steps across the floor. Last week, for the first time anyone can remember, she started to sniff, curious about the world at last. She is safe. She is loved. She is home.

A pilot's heartbreak became a mission to save lives.

It all began with a lifelong love for animals — and the heartbreaking loss of two beloved dogs. Their passing left a hole, but it stirred something powerful: a realization that wings and love could become something that truly mattered.

For years, founder Ryan Gomez had been reflecting on a deeper truth: the universe runs on balance. He had received so much — it was time to give back. Because a life of service is how we find our place in the world.

That's when Hope Wins! was born. A mission fueled by love, powered by wings, and guided by the belief that every dog deserves a second chance.

How It Works

From danger to a doorstep.

01

The Call

A shelter or rescue partner identifies a dog at risk — often on a euthanasia list with days or hours remaining.

02

The Plan

We coordinate pickup logistics, verify health clearance, and file our flight plan.

03

The Flight

Hope takes to the sky. Ryan flies the dog from danger to a waiting rescue partner or foster home.

04

The Landing

A new life begins. The dog is safe, the family is waiting, and another paw print goes on the plane.

A Hope Wins rescue dog handoff

Put the rescue in the process.

Every step leads to this moment: a dog out of danger and into the hands of someone ready to help them home.

Where Your Money Goes

Every dollar goes to the dogs.

🏥

Vet Care

Health checks, vaccines, spay/neuter, and emergency medical care before transport.

📦

Rescue Supplies

Crates, carriers, harnesses, leashes, and safety equipment for safe transport.

🤝

Foster Support

Coordination with shelters and foster networks to ensure every dog lands safely.

Getting Them Home

The Network

We don't do this alone.

Every rescue is a relay. Hope flies the leg only a plane can fly — then trusted rescue partners carry each dog the rest of the way home. Together, we reach dogs no one of us could reach alone.

Tiny Paws Dog Rescue

Genny's rescue — and our partner in Mia's journey. Tiny Paws carried her the final miles to her forever home in Montana.
